GREENVILLE, S.C. (August 9, 2007) –Span-America Medical Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: SPAN) announced today that the Board of Directors declared a regular quarterly dividend of $0.08 per share.  The dividend is payable September 5, 2007, to shareholders of record on August 21, 2007.

"This is our 71st consecutive quarterly dividend and represents a 33% increase over the dividend paid in the same quarter of fiscal 2006," stated James D.
