SPAN-AMERICA DECLARES FOURTH QUARTER DIVIDEND
 

GREENVILLE, S.C. – (November 9, 2004) – Span-America Medical Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: SPAN) announced today that the Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend of $0.04 per share, or $0.16 per share annually, payable December 3, 2004, to shareholders of record on November 18, 2004.

"The dividend represents an increase of 14.3% from the dividend paid in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2003," stated James D. Ferguson, president and chief executive officer of Span-America. "Our Board authorized the increase in the dividend rate last quarter, highlighting our continued sales and earnings growth this year."
