SPAN-AMERICA DECLARES REGULAR QUARTERLY DIVIDEND

GREENVILLE, S.C. (February 12, 2010) -- Span-America Medical Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:SPAN) announced today that the Board of Directors declared a regular quarterly dividend of $0.10 per share.  The dividend is payable March 5, 2010, to shareholders of record on February 25, 2010. 

"Our Board of Directors is committed to building long-term shareholder value, and we believe our quarterly dividend highlights our solid earnings and excellent cash flow from operations,” stated Jim Ferguson, president and chief executive officer of Span‑America.  “This dividend will mark our 81st consecutive quarter of paying cash dividends.”
