Table 2 shows the number of engine revolutions for each revolution of the rear tires. For example, with a four speed transmission in first gear (3.71 rear axle ratio), the engine
revolves 12.61 times for each revolution of the rear tires. The fourth gear output (high gear) is directly proportional to engine RPMs times the rear axle ratio, or 3.71 in this
example. With the Gear Vendors overdrive engaged, engine revolutions drop to 2.89 per rear tire revolution, or approximately 22% less than top gear without overdrive.
