SECOND QUARTER CONFERENCE CALL ON THE INTERNET

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — July 8, 2004 — Avocent Corporation (NASDAQ:AVCT) will provide an on-line, real-time Web-cast and rebroadcast of its second quarter results conference call to be held on Thursday, July 22, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. Central.
