FIRST QUARTER CONFERENCE CALL ON THE INTERNET

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (April 12, 2007) — Avocent Corporation (NASDAQ: AVCT) will provide an online, real-time webcast and rebroadcast of its first quarter results conference call on Thursday, April 19, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. Central time.

A simulcast of the conference call will be available online at www.avocent.com under the investor relations’ tab as well as www.investorcalendar.com.  The online replay will be available on the Company’s web site for approximately 30 days.
