BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – (August 2, 2006) – Advocat Inc. (OTCBB: AVCA) today announced that it is scheduled to report financial results for its second quarter ended June 30, 2006, on Wednesday, August 9, 2006 after the market closes. 

Advocat will hold a conference call at 9:00 a.m. CT, 10:00 a.m. ET, on Thursday, August 10, 2006.  The call will consist of remarks from management as well as a question and answer session.
