On-Campus Recruiting Checklist

On-campus interviews are scheduled Monday through Friday during business hours (8:00 am - 5:00 pm central). There are four popular interview schedule formats to choose from. We are also more than happy to work with you to build a schedule that fits your needs. Note that Owen does not use a bidding system for interview schedules.

Below is a general guideline for planning your on-campus interviews.

To Do Now

Click here to schedule your on-campus interview date(s).
Make sure that you book enough rooms to accommodate all of your interviewers. Interview rooms are limited and space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

6 Weeks Prior

Email your job description(s).
Include a resume submission deadline and preferred application method.
Provide restrictions regarding candidate eligibility (i.e., sponsorship of international students with visa requirements).
Order your free Vanderbilt MBA and/or MS Finance resume book to identify potential candidates (www.mbafocus.com).

2-3 Weeks Prior

Email your list of selected candidates.
Include any alternate candidates in rank order.
Select your interview schedule format.
Email the names and titles of the interviewers who will attend.

1 Week Prior

Receive and approve final interview schedule.
Familiarize yourself with campus directions and parking information.
If you plan to drive, request a complimentary parking pass from the CMC.

Interview Day

We suggest arriving 30 minutes prior to your first scheduled interview.
A recruiter packet including interview schedule(s) and candidate resumes will be prepared for you.
The CMC staff will be on hand throughout the day to ensure that all questions receive responses in a quick and timely manner.
To be sure that we are providing outstanding service, build in approximately 30 minutes at the end of your day to debrief with a CMC staff member.
